Bashak Clayton

In this exhibition of new paintings London based artist Bashak Clayton, a graduate of Goldsmiths College London and with an MA in Social Psychology from Bosphorous University Istanbul, shows work informed by her childhood in Turkey and her admiration for Turkish and Persian Miniature paintings.

"I am intrigued by the ways in which imagery is used to depict the world and its creatures in these paintings where each image represents a world of another order, an almost fairy-tale world of wonder. My paintings refer to this wonderland where spirituality is combined, and to be experienced, with melancholy, doubt and perversion.
