Recently featured in Portfolio Magazine, Sarah Lynch's work 'Suspended Realities' is concerned
with the philosophy of being. It expresses, documents and questions issues concerning our
existence and our 'self'. Lynch takes everyday familiar objects and places them in a Still
Life setting in an attempt to focus the viewer's attention.
"The work aims to engage the viewer by showing the suspension of time while
considering the consequence of being, hopefully allowing the audience to relate to a little
of what I feel about the beauty, fragility and excitement of being. I want my pictures to
remove the viewer from the world that they are familiar with, to take them to an obviously
fictitious world, but use photography to show what is really happening in the Still Life
set up.
